Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Attended and Unattended Therapies?

Attended therapies require someone to administer the therapy treatment. Unattended therapies are set up for you, and do not require someone else to be present for the duration of the treatment, so you can left alone if you wish, but the Therapies Assistants will be on hand to help where needed. This is why unattended therapies have a lower cost than attended therapies.

What is the difference between Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and the 'Mild' version?

They are technically both hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), but the distinction is that Mild HBOT relates to taking the treatment in a 1.5ATA single-person soft chamber, whereas HBOT relates to taking treatment in the 2ATA multiplace hard chamber. If you want to understand more about the difference between the two chambers, visit the Therapies page.

Is Laser Acumodulation the same as Laser Acupuncture?

Essentially, yes. However, we prefer not to use the word acupuncture because we NEVER use needles, and therefore there is no puncture to the skin. The laser light beam is positioned on the same acupoints used in traditional needle acupuncture to 'modulate' the biological signal, hence why we call it 'Laser Acumodulation Therapy' or 'LAT' for short.

How do Í find out the cost of a service?

Select a therapy card on the Therapies page, and a window will show the typical range of cost for the treatment, depending on the duration of the session or whether blocks of sessions are paid for, which tend to work out cheaper per session. It is worth remembering that monthly subscriptions can lower the average per-session costs even more.

Why do you not have a self-booking system online?

It is necessary to complete a health questionnaire first to ensure there is nothing in your health that could be adversely affected by a chosen therapy (also known as a 'contraindication'). This is why we need to be contacted before a treatment can be booked. In the future, those who are already in the system after completing the health screening will be able to book further treatments by themselves.

Can I have a consultation before sharing my health history?

Yes, you can have a free consultation with the manager if you want to understand the therapies more before providing your details. You will however be charged for any consultation with a specialist, even if it is just to discuss a specific therapy.
